I have seen Susan two or three times for follow-ups. I always get more information on my problems and way of handling them. Part of a great team.

As previously mentioned Susan determined I was in a situation that needed urgent care and assessment. She asked appropriate and detailed questions in a kind and caring manner and was firm in her recommendation that I needed to be seen in the emergency room right away. She arranged to have two of her staff members take me down to the emergency room with all of the needed information for the ER to successfully triage me to determine acuity. The ER was ver hectic that day and if her staff had not been there to act as advocates for me I doubt things would have gone as smoothly as they did. I ended up needing to be admitted to the hospital for three days for a very serious medical issue. I am grateful to Susan Collazo for her excellent care. Susan even stopped by to see how I was doing while I was in the hospital.

She’s very helpful there is a lot of things that effect your heart and BP that doesn’t have to do with the cardiologist department she considers all aspects and encourages other aspects like mental health and weight goals.

She asks good questions, she explains what is going on, is thorough and I think leads to better care by informing the patient the reasons and importance of the instructions. She is very good.

External Professional Relationships

Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
